When recently asked to sum up kiteboarding in one word, I found myself struggling to find anything suitable for this sport of ours. It can easily be described as extreme, dangerous, and even insane to those bystanders wondering how it's possible to be 60-feet in the air with nothing to propel you but good 'ol mother nature. Others may choose to categorize it as a sport that allows you to capture the best of wakeboarding, surfing, and other boardsports together. Still others may describe it as the newest, fastest, and one of the more graceful sailing classes in the world. Any way you slice it, this sport we love finds itself at perhaps the most diverse it has ever been.

Welcome to year two of Axon. We don't make everything that this diverse and vibrant community of kiteboarders may want to strap to their feet (plywood, inflatable mattresses, lunch trays, etc.), but what we do make is relevant, current, and designed for nothing other than giving you the best ride on the planet. You won't find a single nut or bolt that wasn't thought about or argued over. Every piece of technology that you will find on Axon products is there for a specific reason. The fact that we here at Axon only build kiteboards, means that we focus 100% of our energy on making sure that the board that is under your feet, is the best possible board that we can make.

In fact, in just our second year, the Axon Rhythm 135 was proclaimed runner-up for freeride kiteboard of the year in the United States. A feat that not only flatters us beyond belief, but also one that affirms that the direction that we are going is the right one.
